Rijk Zwaan has a wide range of vegetable seeds for commercial growers around the world. But we offer our customers more than just seed. We are different in that we have a number of unique service concepts and play an important part in the international vegetable chain by seeking collaboration.

Chain management
Rijk Zwaan employs experienced chain managers who maintain contact with, for instance, trade organisations, supermarkets and vegetable processors. That is how we collect the needs from the marketplace, so that our breeders know what to take into account and it enables us to initiate interesting collaborative relationships. Together with our customers we work on new products and concepts.

Crop guidance
Via a wide network of experienced crop advisors we regularly visit our customers. By means of mutual exchange of knowledge we discuss how best to grow a variety and how we can solve any sticking points by creating new varieties. The combination of experienced top-class growers and expert advice from Rijk Zwaan ultimately leads to a uniform and high-quality end product.

Crop recording
At the request of growers or growers’ organisations, Rijk Zwaan offers the possibility to record and analyse crop details. This provides the opportunity to exchange and compare important information which can be of benefit to growers as well as other players in the chain. This information ultimately leads to a higher quality and more uniformity of vegetables.

Point-of-sale checks
A large part of the end products from nurseries is exported. Because it is important for growers to have an insight into how their products perform in shops, Rijk Zwaan regularly carries out point-of-sale checks. Our employees write reports on aspects like quality, price charged, shelf life and colour. This is important information which can benefit the entire chain.
